Did you know that Hunterdon is home to 7 Wineries?

Hunterdon County is known for many things: great views, historic sites, river towns, and fun farm visits, but do you know what else?  Fine wine and craft beer!  We are home to 7 wineries and 6 craft breweries!!  If you have time, check out our Charming Main Streets too!  During your travels, stop by a local winery or brewery and taste the goodness that makes Hunterdon a mecca for beer and wine enthusiasts. Cheers and toast to a great visit!!

Craft Breweries

Craft Breweries dot the map of Hunterdon County.  In fact, we even created their own Trail.  Check out Hunterdon Beer Trail for more information on events, new releases, and the passport program!

Conclave Brewing:  Cool and trendy comes to mind when you step inside.  Conclave offers a wide selection of craft beers on tap.  They also offer indoor and outdoor seating for you and your friends.

Lone Eagle Brewing: Located on the pedestrian friendly Stangl Road in beautiful, historic Flemington.   Walk to the brewery after dining or shopping and enjoy the outdoor beer garden with fire pits or explore the large indoor seating area.

Sunken Silo Brew Works:  A microbrewery that takes pride in making a high-quality beer across a broad range of styles to suit every taste. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating but best of all it is right next door to Metropolitan Seafood which offers take-out!

Odd Bird Brewing: Cozy says it all!  This micro-brewery is small but full of great beer, charm, and cyclists.  The brewery is right off the towpath, so it makes it the perfect place for a quick pit-stop.  But whatever you do, don’t ask for a flight, remember an odd bird is a flightless bird!

Readington Brewery and Hop Farm: The brewery sits way off the highway on top of the hop farm.  The wrap-around porch gives you plenty of seating options. It is a craft beer destination like no other.  There is a local flavor to their traditional beer styles from around the world. Best of all they are open 7 days!

Descendants Brewing Company at the Old Ship Inn: History lives in this brewery.  It is NJ’s first craft brewery.  It serves food (yes, it is a restaurant too!) that covers cuisine from the Motherland and fatherland too!  Special events throughout the year highlight these countries.

Wineries

Looking for a destination that offers bucolic views and charming tasting areas?  Each one of our wineries offers these and more!  Wind your way through the countryside and stop by for a taste of these fine wines.

Angelico Winery: Started by a 5th generation winemaker from Sicily, Angelico winery is our newest winery.  The tastings are held in the beautiful rebuilt barn or outside on the patio.  You fill like you are in an Italian vineyard where the family lives where it grows the grapes.

Beneduce Vineyards: A vineyard that has beautiful views, great wine and always has an event that meets your expectations.  The outdoor space of the tasting room allows visitors to sit in the shade or out on the patio to listen to live music and enjoy the food trucks on the weekend that pairs well with their wines.

Federal Twist Vineyard: Located along the Delaware River, this is a location that draws the Sunday drivers, the cyclists and even sometimes the tubers!  Enjoy your wine tastings within the vineyard (tasting room under construction) and enjoy the views of the rows of grapes and rolling hills.

Mount Salem Vineyards: This is a vineyard that offers the charm of Old Europe.  Private tours and tastings, accompanied by Austrian inspired cuisine, is what makes this winery a unique and special place to visit.

Old York Cellars: An all-season visit.  Firepits and gazebos with blankets for the winter wine enthusiasts, or sunny patios with big umbrellas and comfy private outside lounge areas for the warm weather visitors.  Old York wants you to feel comfortable and welcomed when you come for a tasting or a special event.

Unionville Vineyards: This winery sits on 300 acres.  The views are spectacular, and the wines are high quality.  The tastings are led by extremely knowledgeable team members who welcome you to stay as long as you wish.  Sip and enjoying the beautiful landscape that surrounds the tasting room.

The Ciderhouse at Ironbound Farm: Yes, I know they are not a wine vineyard, but they are a winery (technically)!  As the name says, this is where hard cider is made.  Try a different twist on fermented fruit.  You will truly enjoy the taste of the cider and food when you visit this working farm that serves a true farm-to-table menu!
