2. Hiking is second on your day trip list!

Whether you’re hiking to the mountain top or through the gorge, Hunterdon has a variety of trails to suit any level of hiker!

One of the more popular trails is located at the Point Mountain section of the Musconetcong River Reservation. Located at Hunterdon County’s Northern tip in Holland Township, this scenic trail begins with large open fields and transforms into a more rocky route.

Another popular trail is located at the Round Mountain section of Deer Path Park in Flemington. This path combines natural and man-made beauty, from scenic mountain views to historic farming architecture.

The Teetertown Nature Preserve can be found in Lebanon Township. With three woodsy trails all leading to spectacular views, this spot is one of the most untouched areas in Hunterdon County.
