So Much Holiday Fun in Flemington this December!

If you are looking for holiday fun this December, Flemington NJ is the place for you!  Unique holiday shopping, trolley rides, concerts, outdoor art, artisan markets, and so much more await you.  The charming historic town is all dressed up for the holidays with twinkling lights adorning historic Victorian homes and giant illuminated snowflakes lining Main Street. Here’s a list of holiday events you don’t want to miss! 

Thursday Night Holiday Lights + Holiday Trolley 

In December, from 6-9pm, Flemington’s Thursday Night Holiday Lights event features a holiday shopping trolley with stops at boutiques, Lone Eagle Brewing, Skunktown Distillery, and area restaurants throughout town.  Concerts, dance troupes, and Mrs Claus add to the fun.  The activities vary each week so check loveflemington.com for details.

Holiday Fun and Art on Stangl Road

Stangl Open Air Gallery is a new outdoor streetside gallery featuring art installations by local artists that change every six weeks. Sip and stroll the Stangl Arts and Cultural District and see the work of Flemington Photographer Dave Norton Photo with a fresh pour from a nearby brewery, or the new distillery. 

A bit further down Stangl Road is Flemington DIY where the “Take Me Home Tonight!” group art show features emerging and established artists.  Art lovers can purchase works at set prices while supporting artists and the nonprofit Flemington DIY.   

Also at Flemington DIY is the renowned artist Kev Von Holt’s newly completed outdoor wall mural, “We Are All In Bloom Together,” on the building that houses Flemington DIY.  

Annual Flemington Holiday Tree Lighting

The annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on the First Friday of December at 7pm is always a fun and festive event.  The event takes place on Main Street at the monument. Christmas carols will be organized by Flemington Cub Scout Pack 61, and Santa Claus will be arriving shortly after the Tree Lighting on his sleigh or firetruck.

Holiday Parade + Holiday Filling Station

The beloved Hunterdon Chamber of Commerce Holiday Parade is on the First Saturday of December at 5pm on Main Street in Flemington.  Arrive early for the best viewing spots!  

Photos with Santa

Santa is coming to Flemington with lots of fun photo opportunities!   Pre-registration is required to reserve picture time with Santa with the family and pets.  Santa’s sleigh schedule can be found HERE!

Fun Holiday Shopping Destinations and Holiday Markets

Every Saturday from 9-3 the Stangl Factory Farmers Market features fresh produce, organic meats, fresh baked bread and treats, honey, and artisan goods.  A special holiday Makers Market will take place on throughout December.
