STOP 1
Dog & Deer Tavern
Last fall, Hunterdon County eagerly welcomed the reopening of the historic Stockton Inn, a 200-year-old country inn that inspired a Rodgers and Hart song. The new owners renovated the nine-room inn and introduced two new restaurants: the casual Dog & Deer Tavern and Finch. Chef Bob Truitt and Bar Manager Brian Miller of Dog & Deer offers a menu of elevated comfort foods.
STOP 2
FiNNBAR
Since opening in February, Cal Peternell, formerly of California’s iconic Chez Panisse, has revitalized the culinary scene at the Frenchtown Inn. His 100-seat restaurant, located on the historic inn’s first floor, has quickly become a standout in the area.
STOP 3
Northridge Restaurant
Historic Woolverton Inn has begun welcoming more than just hotel guests to dine. Located in a beautifully restored 1830s dairy barn, the dining room boasts a striking atrium ceiling, exposed wood beams, and a grand fireplace. Chef Lance Knowling, who previously made his mark at Indigo Smoke in North Jersey, brings his Kansas City-inspired flavors to the menu at Northridge.
