North Hunterdon
The County’s highest elevation, Point Mountain, can be found in the North Region of Hunterdon, which is representative of a big part of what this portion of the county has to offer. With county parks such as Charleston Preserve and Crystal Springs Preserve the North Region offers breathtaking views and outdoor adventure. Bike on the famous Columbia Trail. Boat at Round Valley Reservoir or Spruce Run Recreation Area. You can even take to the skies and enjoy the views from a hot air balloon. This region offers some of the best outdoor activities in the state, with hiking, fishing, camping, water and sky adventures and more. Or just do nothing and take in the beautiful rolling hills and gorgeous vistas this region has to offer.
The North also has exciting shopping and dining on historic main streets in towns such as Clinton, High Bridge, and Califon. Lovers of fresh produce will enjoy farm-fresh outings to places like Melick’s Town Farm and the Clinton Farmers Market while wine and beer enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to sites such as Cree Wine Company and Sunken Silo Brewery. So spend a beautiful day outdoors and follow-it up with dinner on an historic main street. Whatever your choices, exploring the North Region won’t disappoint!
