One of the largest (2,000 acres) pieces of recreational areas in Hunterdon County is Round Valley Recreational Area located in Lebanon. With so much space for exploration, there are so many things to do which makes it perfect for Memorial Day Weekend! From boating, fishing and hiking to barbecuing and picnics, Round Valley Recreation Area is the perfect location to gather with friends and family to spend time outdoors! If you’re planning to attend the recreation area with a group (especially more than 20), look into renting a group picnic area. Likewise, renting a space to stay for the entirety of MDW at Round Valley is easy, check out their rentable cabins or campsites

 Come Together Friday Night Music (Clinton)

Music so good that it won Clinton the title of “The Town that has Friday Night Music”; Join four bands for their summer kick-off of Friday night live music on Main St. in Clinton on May 26th. Expect to hear Classic Rock, Frank Sinatra, Jazz, Billy Joel, Pop Songs, Elvis, Soft Rock and much more. The best way to enjoy Come Together is to grab a lawn chair or put on your dancing shoes and gather around the performers with a sweet treat from Scoops or Just Chill!

 Wine, BBQ and Music at Federal Twist Vineyard (Stockton)

From noon to 6 pm on Saturday, May 27th, join Federal Twist Vineyard and “Full Grown Men” in celebrating on the vineyard with delicious wine, barbecue food, and the best music of the 60s and 70s. Bring your lawn chairs, sit back (or dance all day) and enjoy!

 

Live Music and Dinner at Ironbound Cider (Alexandria Twp)

Join Craig Sailer Project in their performance at Ironbound Cider, a multi-award-winning band. Craig Sailer Project is known to play classic covers, blues, country and original rock and roll music. Nothing pairs better with good music than one of Ironbounds ciders or specialty drinks, and don’t forget to tack on one of their farm-to-table apps or meals! 

 Weekend Long Celebration at Old York Cellars (Ringoes)

Starting Saturday the 26th, Old York Cellars in Ringoes is hosting Memorial Day Weekend, all weekend! From wine and food to music and cabanas, you’re sure to be able to sit back, relax  and enjoy the vineyard and its surrounding mountain views.

 Flemington Fine Artisans Show (Flemington)

From 10 am to 4 pm, starting Sunday, May 28th until Monday the 29th, join local artists and creators at the Flemington Fine Artisans Show at Stangl Factory. With a full list of artists here, you can expect all kinds of art from paintings, woodwork, embroidery, ceramics, pyrography, jewelry, blown glass and glass art, and much more. Walk around and enjoy the art as well as all else that Stangl Factory has to offer!

 The Strange Brew Crew Band at Lone Eagle Brewery (Flemington)

After the Fine Artisans Show, walk over to Lone Eagle Brewery (a part of the Hunterdon Beer Trail) also located in Stangl Factory! Get your growlers filled before your Memorial Day BBQ, grab some beers, and enjoy the Strange Brew Crew, playing all of your favorite classics!

 Kayaking on the Delaware (Frenchtown)

Looking to get on the water this Memorial Day?Join Big Bear Gear for a gentle seven mile paddle down the scenic Delaware River, accompanied by a Big Bear tour guide. Starting in Frenchtown and approximately two hours, the trip comes with all equipment and is a great way to get active before chowing down on all of those BBQ foods!
